MLB: Billy Wagner awaits the Red Sox decision.

The Boston Red Sox claimed Billy Wagner off waivers and have a chance to add him to their bullpen for their playoff run. Usually the Organizations have to wait on players with no-trade clauses, but in this situation it's the Red Sox who have to make a decision. Billy Wagner has excepted the trade to Boston on one condition...they must guarantee to buyout his contract next year ($1 million). He wants to be a closer somewhere, not be Papelbon's setup man. We will see if Boston will fork over the money. Wagner may have to wave the buyout money for that to happen.

Stay tuned to see if Billy Wagner actually becomes a Red Sock at http://www.sportscog.com/
